From July to December we will be collecting items to go in the shoe boxes for Samaritan's Purse.
I have gone numerous times with Concord Baptist Church's Senior Group to pack/sort boxes at the center. One year, one of the workers shared the following story with us:
They were passing out boxes in a village and when they got to the end of the delivery, there was one little boy waiting for his box. However, there was only one box left and it was a Girls Box. They gave the box to the little boy, dreading his disappointment. He opened that box and grinned from ear to ear. In the box were all kinds of colored bead necklaces and girl items. That day was his Mother's birthday and he now had a birthday present for her.
Can't out give God, can we!
