NEW EAGLE SCOUTS, SEPTEMBER 2024
TYLER CHEEK (Left) and DAKOTA FENN (Right)
Dakota Fenn (Left) with his father, Jacob, Troop Scoutmaster.
Dakota and his family are members of Concord Baptist Church.
Dakota Fenn was elected as a Vigil Candidate for Order of the Arrow on September 28, 2024
Order of the Arrow (OA) essentially functions as Scouting’s National Honor Society. OA members consist of select Scouts that have excelled at living the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. The trials to join the Order of the Arrow are not easy, and only the most dedicated Scouts are able to join Order of the Arrow.
Mission
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Scout Law
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
Scout Oath
“On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.”
